The People's Power said it has decided to launch a "trial delay prevention TF," pointing out that the first trial of Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea's violation of the Public Official Election Act has been underway for more than two years.
Rep. Joo Jin-woo, chairman of the party's legal advisory committee, explained the background of the TF's formation, saying that representative Lee's tricks are expected, including changing lawyers and changing the date, requesting to avoid the court, impeaching judges, claiming unconstitutionality, and abuse of witness applications.
He added that the case of the Public Official Election Act should take precedence over any other case under the law, and the second trial should be sentenced within three months, adding that the TF will continue to respond through comments and statements in the future.
