President Yoon Suk Yeol said he would further spread a global campaign to promote carbon neutrality using clean energy, and a carbon-free energy (CFE) initiative.President

Yoon said at the third session of the G20 summit in Brazil on the 19th local time that the transition to clean energy is essential to achieving the 2050 carbon neutrality goal.

However, the burden is increasing on emerging and developing economies, and the G20 leaders asked for their support for the zero-carbon energy (CFE) initiative proposed by the U.N. General Assembly in September last year to spread the use and distribution of clean energy sources such as nuclear power.

He also added that Korea will actively play the role of a 'green ladder' to support countries vulnerable to responding to climate change.
