Unification Minister "will attend after the legal investigation is organized."

2024.12.12 AM 11:32
Unification Minister Kim Young-ho was summoned by the police in connection with the emergency martial law incident, but the Ministry of Unification said it plans to investigate the case after watching the investigation being organized.

An official from the Ministry of Unification told reporters today that he was notified by the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters to come out as a reference at 3 p.m. yesterday, but he was not present due to his attendance at the plenary session of the National Assembly.

He then explained that as there are simultaneous investigations by various agencies, there may be situations in which the same thing has to be said several times, so the decision will be made in consideration of various factors.

However, he added that only the National Investigation Headquarters has notified the summons so far.

Earlier, Minister Kim attended a cabinet meeting held just before the declaration of the emergency martial law on the night of the 3rd and missed the cabinet meeting that discussed the lifting of martial law early the next day.
