The Foreign Affairs Commission's question about the martial law situation...Foreign and Unification Ministers Criticize Thatcher

2024.12.16 PM 06:50
At the plenary session of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, which was convened to question pending issues on the December 3 emergency martial law, opposition lawmakers criticized the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Unification for insufficient response when martial law was declared.

The opposition party questioned Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol and Unification Minister Kim Young-ho for failing to prevent the declaration of martial law at a Cabinet meeting on the 3rd and failing to answer the U.S. ambassador's phone or return home even after the declaration.

On the other hand, in the power of the people, there was a counterargument that it was too much to accuse those who expressed their opposition at the Cabinet meeting of rebellion.

In addition, Kim Seok-ki, chairman of the ruling party's Foreign Affairs Committee, clashed with the opposition party after demanding that the Democratic Party of Korea, which identified President Yoon as a mobster, cancel his remarks.
