The People's Power evaluated the fact that Acting President Han Deok-soo exercised his right to demand reconsideration, or veto, on six bills, including the Grain Management Act, as a natural decision for the country and the future.
Floor spokesman Park Soo-min issued a comment, arguing that the Democratic Party's opposition to the demand for reconsideration, saying that all bills requested for reconsideration hurt the country and the people, is a packaged logic that covers common sense.
He then asked the Democratic Party what the government intended to do by continuing to pass bills that the government had no choice but to reject, accumulating the number of vetoes, and threatening Han's request for reconsideration with "impeachment."
At the same time, he pointed out that efforts should be made to create real bills that stabilize people's livelihoods by putting down repetitive veto-inducing actions that cause political strife at a severe time.
