Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol held a video conference with the heads of diplomatic missions in the United States and ordered them to supplement measures to prepare for the launch of the Trump administration.
In a meeting with the heads of 10 missions in the U.S., Cho encouraged the activities of the heads of missions who actively communicated with various sectors of the U.S. to ensure stable management of the Korea-U.S. relations in the recent difficult domestic situation.
At the same time, he asked for supplementing the measures prepared in line with the launch of the new administration in the United States and strengthening the foreign cooperation efforts of each diplomatic mission based on this.
We also discussed ways to strengthen our network with the U.S. Congress, state governments, Congress, and academia, as well as collaborate with the private sector, including the business community.
Minister Cho called for active communication with the Korean community to ensure the unity of the Korean-American community and the safety of overseas Koreans.
