Acting President Han calls for a compromise between the ruling and opposition parties to put the special prosecution law on hold.
"The issue of appointing constitutional judges should also start negotiations on a compromise."
To Acting President Han again...Opposition calls for appointment tomorrow
[Anchor]
As the Democratic Party of Korea has suspended the motion for impeachment against acting president Han Deok-soo, the ball seems to have been handed over to acting president Han again.
In fact, it is necessary to decide by tomorrow (26th) whether to appoint three candidates for the Constitutional Court, and the choice is expected to determine whether to impeach the acting president for the first time.

Acting President Han Deok-soo suspended the introduction of the Insurrection Special Prosecutor Act and the Special Prosecutor Kim Gun-hee Act to the State Council, calling on the ruling and opposition parties to come up with a compromise.
He said that it cannot be promulgated in a situation where the ruling and opposition parties have a large disagreement, and that the issue of appointing constitutional judges is the same.
[Han Deok-soo / Acting President (Yesterday) : I dare to expect the National Assembly to come up with a solution consistent with the Constitution and the law, centered on National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik...]
He postponed all the decisions and handed the ball over to the National Assembly, but he got the ball back that he had handed over in less than a day.
This is because if they are not appointed even after the approval of the appointment of three constitutional judges at the plenary session tomorrow (26th), the Democratic Party will launch an impeachment motion that was reserved by the Democratic Party.
[Park Chan-dae/Democratic Party floor leader (Yesterday): We have decided to wait patiently for the Constitutional Court and whether our demands are implemented.]
A senior official at the Prime Minister's Office said he also understood the issue of appointing constitutional judges in the position of deciding in accordance with the Constitution and laws, as Han has repeatedly emphasized.
At the same time, he acknowledged that the view of the candidate for constitutional judge, who was led by the opposition party, was not different from that of the ruling party.
[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader (last 22nd): It's the same as a prosecutor choosing a judge for the case he prosecutes.]
However, at a time when an acting president has vetoed six controversial bills, the appointment of a constitutional judge cannot be postponed due to the limited role of the acting president.
It is also burdensome for the legal profession, as well as the three candidates for constitutional judges, including those recommended by the ruling party, to voice one voice that there is no problem with the process of appointing judges.
In fact, the acting president has to decide on his own whether to prosecute the impeachment of the first acting president, and Han's struggles are deepening that much.
