The Prime Minister's Office refuted the announcement made by former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, saying that Acting President Han Deok-soo had not been briefed in advance on the emergency martial law plan.
The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement today (26th) and Acting President Han Deok-soo said he had not received any reports until he heard the declaration plan from President Yoon Suk Yeol at around 9 p.m. on the day of martial law in Yongsan.
At the same time, Han emphasized that he would take all measures, including legal action, against false facts.
Earlier today (26th), former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun's lawyers claimed that former Minister Kim took steps to propose martial law to the president through acting Han Deok-soo in advance regarding the declaration of emergency martial law on the 3rd.
However, he later explained that there was a misunderstanding in the remarks, saying that former Minister Kim had not discussed martial law with Han in advance, and that he had talked about martial law to the prime minister just before President Yoon was present at the Cabinet meeting.
