The IRS said it will hold an export liquor fair during the 53rd Asia-Pacific National Tax Service Commissioner's Meeting (SGATAR).
At this fair, the National Tax Service will explain the liquor tax administration and the liquor manufacturing and sales license administration system and introduce efforts to support manufacturing technology at the Liquor License Support Center.
In addition to soju and beer, 89 alcohol tasting events will be held, including folk liquor, local specialty liquor, table wine, herbal liquor, and domestic whiskey.
According to the National Tax Service, the participants of the fair responded by saying that the alcoholic beverages with deep flavor and unique taste were excellent in the traditional manufacturing method of fermenting rice and yeast.
The IRS will offer alcohol voted out by fairgoers as a dinner on the last day of the Sugata meeting.
Sugata is a tax administration conference formed in 1970 to develop tax administration and promote cooperation, and more than 180 people, including 10 major international organizations, including the heads and delegations of 18 tax authorities, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), will attend.
