Gas prices have risen for three weeks in a row...The effect of reducing the oil tax reduction rate

2024.11.02 AM 09:56
The average weekly price of gasoline and diesel at domestic gas stations has risen together for three consecutive weeks.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information system, the average gasoline price this week rose 7.1 won from last week to 1,600 won per liter.

After falling to 1,500 won in the first week of October, it entered the 1,600 won range in four weeks.

The average selling price of diesel was up 6.4 won to 1,428.7 won per liter.

An official from the Korea National Oil Association predicted that oil prices are likely to rise slightly next week as part of the reduction of oil taxes proceeds, but the rise will not be significant due to stable international oil prices.

International oil prices fell this week due to mitigation of geopolitical risks after Israel's limited retaliation against Iran.
