Korea Rural Economic Research Institute expected to drop 5% in cabbage production this fall

Although cabbage prices are falling due to discount events by the government and large discount stores, production is expected to decrease this month, which will be a variable in price stability.

The Rural Economic Research Institute said in a November observational report that the cultivation area of cabbage this fall was 12,796ha, 2.7% less than last year, affected by high temperatures and drought.

As a result, the production of cabbage this fall is expected to be 1.18 million tons, down 5.1% from last year, to around 8,000 won per 10kg of wholesale price.
