Postponed some subway lines in the Seoul metropolitan area due to the railroad union's failure.

Some subway trains in the Seoul metropolitan area have been delayed due to the railroad union's unemployment that began today.

Korail said delays are occurring on subway lines 1, 3, and 4 in the Seoul metropolitan area, the Suin-Bundang line, and the West Sea line connecting Ilsan and Ansan.

According to the report, 140 out of 650 trains in the Seoul metropolitan area were delayed by more than 10 minutes, and 120 trains were delayed by more than 20 minutes.

Since then, the delay has subsided, and after 11 o'clock, some trains on Line 1 and Gyeongui Central Line have been delayed for about 10 minutes, Korail said.

Korail, however, said that regular trains such as KTX and Saemaeul are all operating normally without a hitch.

The railway union began to leave the job today, demanding the addition of insufficient personnel, the shift of work to two shifts in four groups, and a 2.5% increase in basic salary.
