Seventy-six percent of mid-sized companies predicted that uncertainty in the Korean economy will increase after the inauguration of the second Trump administration.
This is the result of a survey of 237 mid-sized companies by the Korea Federation of Medium Business.
Increasing uncertainty was the most cited factor for increasing corporate burden due to strengthening domestic priority, followed by worsening trade balance due to high-intensity tariff policies.
The mid-sized industry said the government's top priority is to strengthen the competitiveness of key industries in terms of economic security.
The Federation of Mid-sized Businesses urged the government to mobilize all policy measures to strengthen the competitiveness of companies and diplomatic responses based on the friendly relationship of the Korea-U.S. alliance.
