As used transactions become more common, many people will use Naver Pay's safe payment service to avoid fraud.
A series of scams are a problem that induce payments by pretending to be safe transactions to buyers who do not know the exact system.
Experts advise that you should suspect fraud if you send a separate link for payment.
Reporter Kim Yi-young reports.

On the 19th, Mr. A found out that his Naver account was used for a used transaction fraud.
[Mr. A/Account theft victim: There was a post (with my ID) that baseball tickets were sold to used countries. (Trying to trade) About 20 to 30 people. So when I went into the room one by one, there were two people who were beaten.]
The fraudster, who posted the sales post as if it were Mr. A, gave the victim the account number who wanted to purchase the ticket, and changed his words when the victim deposited the money.
It's a virtual account for Naver Pay's safe payment, but I asked you to send the money again, saying there was an error because I didn't send a fee.
I sent you a picture saying that I captured the Naver payment window, and reassured you that the money sent earlier will be automatically refunded.
The victim felt fraud only after transferring a total of 1.6 million won several times.
[Mr. B / Victim of fraud: It's a virtual transaction account, so if you don't send the money quickly, it'll disappear. I sent almost the same amount six times.... My hands were shaking and I couldn't believe it. Is this a scam? But it didn't even take 30 minutes.]
I searched the account number used in the crime on "Dutcht", a service that allows you to check your fraud history.
In the last two weeks, 42 damage reports have been filed, and the amount of damage has reached 50 million won.
Hundreds of victims were affected by similar methods in social media open chat rooms.
In this way, there are a series of used transaction scams that steal money by inducing deposits as if it were a safe payment for Naver Pay.
It took advantage of the fact that buyers trust it because it is necessary to authenticate the seller and the money is delivered after receiving the product.
If you go in via the link sent to the buyer saying that Naver Pay is a safe payment, you will see the Naver payment screen, but it is fake.
If it's normal, you can pay directly on the transaction site without sending a separate link.
If you induce payment through a separate link, it may be a scam to steal someone else's Naver ID and receive money from a third party's account.
[NaverPay official: I think it would be better to conduct all transactions within Naver and Naver Pay platforms, and it's never safe to induce additional payments by inducing them to other SNSs..]
In addition, some point out that in the case of transaction fraud, such as voice phishing, the system should be supplemented to quickly prevent further damage by suspending payment of accounts immediately after reporting.
