YTN secured CCTV footage of the highway at the time of the accident.A light vehicle is identified that goes backwards up a one-way lane used by cars exiting the

highway.

The other cars are running fast, but the compact car suddenly turns right and cuts into the lane.

Eventually, the light car collided with a 1-ton truck, and the road was simply chaos as a series of collisions occurred.

It was around 5:20 a.m. today that seven cars had a series of accidents at Bupyeong Interchange on the Gyeongin Expressway toward Seoul.

Four people were found to have suffered minor injuries, and one seriously injured person in his 70s was taken to the hospital, but he died.

The accident ahead of the way to work caused traffic jams around Bupyeong Interchange for a while.

The driver who caused the accident while driving the morning car was confirmed to be a Chinese national and Mr. A in his 40s.

According to the police investigation, it was found that he was not drunk or unlicensed.

Mr. A, who was on his way to work at the construction site, reportedly stated that he had misheard the vehicle navigation guidance and was driving backwards.
