The prosecution cleared Lee Eon-joo of the Democratic Party of Korea, who was accused of publishing false information during the general election in April.

The Suwon District Prosecutors' Office said it has not indicted Lee, who is suspected of violating the Public Official Election Act, without charges.

Rep. Lee said on YouTube's "Kim Eo-jun's Dasböda" on March 15 that all the candidates for the power of the people were first-timers and that there was no local connection.

In response, city and provincial councilors in Yongin filed a complaint against Lee, then a Democratic Party candidate, saying that the people's power candidates who ran in the general election were not related because they were born or lived in Yongin for several years until recently.

The police sent lawmaker Lee to the prosecution in August with the opinion of prosecution.
