Another court ruling has been made that Japanese war criminal companies should compensate victims of forced labor.
The Seoul Central District Court ruled today (30th) that Japan Steel should pay 100 million won to the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed by nine people, including Kim, against Japan Steel.
The court said Nippon Steel's actions were inhumane and illegal, considering that the deceased victim was forced to work without paying him properly in an environment with a high probability of injury and death.
The same court recognized all the alimony claims filed by the plaintiffs in a damages lawsuit filed against Mitsubishi Heavy Industries by five people, including Jang, and three others, including Lee.
