● Former lawmaker Yoon Kwan-seok of the 'Democratic Party of Korea Money Envelope Case' was sentenced on appeal
The Supreme Court's judgment on former lawmaker Yoon Kwan-seok, who was indicted on suspicion of the
Democratic Party of Korea money bag, will come out at around 10:10 a.m. today (31st).

Earlier in May 2021, Yoon was sentenced to two years in prison in the first and second trials for his involvement in spraying money envelopes for the election of former leader Song Young-gil ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

Lee Hak-soo, mayor of Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do, was sentenced to invalidity of election in the first and second trials on charges of publicizing false information under the
Election Act, at the same time.

The mayor was fined 10 million won in the first and second trials two years ago after being accused of publishing false information as if another candidate had speculated on real estate during an election broadcast debate.
