A member of the courier union who bullied the agency owner into killing him was convicted of insulting the victim in a group chat room.

On the 8th of last month, the Supreme Court confirmed the original ruling that sentenced A, a member of the courier union, to a fine of 1 million won.

Mr. A was accused of posting messages slandering the agent, Mr. B, several times in a Kakao Talk group chat room involving dozens of members of the courier union between May and July 2021.Mr.

B fought with Mr. A and other couriers over the fee payment structure at the time, but he killed himself in August of the same year because he couldn't overcome their poor work and bullying.

A claimed that it was a legitimate act to slander the victim at the trial, but the first and second trials court fined him 1 million won, pointing out that A did not properly grasp the facts and posted expressions that undermined the victim's social evaluation or external honor.

The Supreme Court also dismissed the appeal filed by Mr. A and confirmed the sentence, believing that there was no problem with the original judgment.
