Attention is focusing on whether Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, will broadcast the first trial of the violation of the Public Official Election Act live on Friday.

In the case of former Presidents Park Geun Hye and Lee Myung Bak, live broadcasting was decided three days before the trial, so there is a possibility that the conclusion may be made as early as today.

The court continues to agonize until the last minute.

Reporter Kim Da-hyun reports.

In accordance with the court's bylaws, the presiding judge may permit the application for filming the date of sentencing with the consent of the defendant.

However, even if the defendant does not agree, it can be permitted if it is judged to be for the public interest.

The first case in which the first trial was broadcast live after the bylaws were established was the case of former President Park Geun Hye's "state affairs manipulation."

Then, former President Lee Myung Bak's first trial sentence was broadcast live.

Both trials were decided to broadcast live three days before the sentencing, apparently considering the time for filming and installing relay equipment.

The representative has not made a clear statement on the live broadcast of the trial.

Opposition parties strongly oppose the live broadcast of Lee's trial, not even the president, saying it would only be a "disgrace cycle" and a "human rights violation."
The court, which continues to struggle until the end of
, is expected to decide whether to broadcast live soon in consideration of the claim that it is a "human rights violation" and the public interest.
