The prosecution objected to the first trial ruling against Binggrae III President Kim Dong-hwan, who was put on trial for assaulting the police.

The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office submitted an appeal to the court against the first trial's ruling, which fined CEO Kim 5 million won for obstructing the execution of public affairs.

President Kim was put on trial in June on charges of assaulting a police officer who was reported and dispatched after being drunk and making a fuss at an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

The court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying that President Kim is not lightly responsible for assaulting police officers, but that he considered asking for forgiveness while reflecting on himself after the crime.

Earlier, the prosecution demanded a six-month prison term and a one-year suspended sentence for President Kim.
