The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said it has detected 359 posts illegally selling or advertising obesity treatments online in the past month.There were 234 posts introducing
online sales sites, and 63 one-on-one chat accounts for online transactions.
Among the posts, 93 cases of illegal sales of Saxenda accounted for 26%, while 57 cases and 16% of the total were GLP-1-based obesity treatments.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety emphasized that it will continue to check the behavior of buying and selling obesity drugs online, skipping doctor prescriptions, to prevent consumer damage.
