As a survey shows that the majority of the members of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions agree to participate in social dialogue, attention is being paid to whether there will be any change in the stance that the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions has maintained so far.

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a policy meeting today (27th) and announced the results of an online survey conducted from September 24 to the 9th.

According to the survey, 85.6% of the 7,827 members said the KCTU could seek social dialogue if it benefited its members and workers.

On the other hand, only 14.4% said that social dialogue should not be sought unless conditions such as the legislation of negotiations by industry are in place.

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions has been absent from social dialogue since 1999, and only the Federation of Korean Trade Unions is participating as a labor representative in the Economic, Social and Labor Commission.
