Starting next year, caesarean delivery will be free of charge.

Starting next year, your burden will disappear when you give birth to a child by cesarean section.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare said the revision of the "Enforcement Decree of the National Health Insurance Act" was approved at the Cabinet meeting to make it free of charge to pay 5% of medical expenses during cesarean delivery.

Currently, there is no burden of medical expenses only when natural delivery is performed.

The government explained that the proportion of cesarean delivery has increased every year, exceeding 64% last year, reflecting the voices of the field to reduce the burden on couples who want to give birth.
