The prosecution has extended the arrest deadline for former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who is considered a "key suspect in the civil war," by another 10 days.

The special investigation headquarters of the prosecution's emergency martial law has extended the arrest deadline for former Minister Kim, which was scheduled to expire today (17th), until the 27th.

Under the Criminal Procedure Act, a prosecutor can extend the arrest period once within a period not exceeding 10 days with the permission of the court.

The special case, which postponed the investigation yesterday, will call back former Minister Kim today to continue the investigation.

However, it is unclear whether the investigation will be conducted properly as former Minister Kim refuses to make a statement, questioning fairness.
