The prosecution has requested an arrest warrant for a former "building judge" on charges of receiving illegal political funds.
Cell phones are also confiscated and analyzed, and some predict that the impact could grow as Jeon is known to have shown off his friendship with the president and his wife.

The prosecution has requested an arrest warrant for a former "building judge" who was arrested on charges of violating the Political Fund Act.
Jeon was arrested in 2018 for receiving 100 million won in bribes to a candidate who ran in the party's primary for Yeongcheon Mayor Liberty Korea Party in North Gyeongsang Province, saying he would help with the election.
At that time, three preliminary candidates faced off in the primary, and one of them entered the finals, but failed.
Jeon reportedly stated that he received money in the name of "prayer money" to help him win the nomination, but that he returned some of the money he received when the candidate was unsuccessful.
The prosecution also investigated a party official suspected of intervening in the primary at the request of candidate Lee and Jeon as a reference.
Earlier, while investigating a separate virtual asset fraud case, the prosecution detected suspicious flow of funds related to Jeon and launched an investigation.
In particular, Jeon's home and the law office were raided and analyzed, securing several mobile phones.
Jeon is suspected of intervening in interests by acting as an adviser to the presidential campaign in Yoon Suk Yeol in the past and showing off his friendship with the president and his wife.
As such, some observers say that if Jeon's mobile phone confirms the circumstances of the nomination intervention as well as the contents of the phone call with the president and his wife, it could cause another wave following Myung Tae-kyun's so-called "golden phone."
