The Criminal Investigation Office of a high-ranking government official investigating the emergency martial law incident has summoned a civilian who has been identified as a close aide to former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun.

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit reportedly summoned Mr. Yang yesterday (19th) to investigate the situation before and after the declaration of martial law and former Minister Kim's instructions.

The fact-finding team at the Yoon Suk Yeol of the Democratic Party of Korea claimed yesterday (19th) that Yang had been acting like a butler in former Minister Kim's official residence, such as serving important personnel and performing duties before he was the head of the security department.

He also added that he met former Minister Kim at his official residence in the early morning of the 3rd, when the emergency martial law was declared, or that he was the "best friend" who took charge of his mobile phone and stored it before Kim's voluntary appearance at the prosecution.
