Jeon Sung-bae, a shaman who is accused of taking a large amount of money by baiting nominations during the 2018 local elections, has been summoned to the prosecution again.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office recalled Jeon, who is suspected of violating the Political Fund Act, as a suspect this afternoon (26th).

Jeon is accused of taking about 100 million won in illegal political funds from a candidate who ran for the Liberty Korea Party, the predecessor of the people's power, ahead of the 2018 mayoral election in Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province.

The prosecution arrested and investigated Jeon on the 17th and requested an arrest warrant, but the court rejected it, saying that the specific date, method, and amount were not specified.

The prosecution is expected to decide whether to request an arrest warrant again after reinforcing the allegations based on the results of the re-investigation.

Jeon was an active member of the Yoon Suk Yeol candidate election camp during the 2022 presidential election and is also suspected of intervening in various interests by showing off his friendship with the president and his wife.
