The Constitutional Court pointed out that the reasons for the National Assembly's prosecution in the impeachment of three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, were too ambiguous and could be reasons for dismissal.

This afternoon (8th), the Constitutional Court held the second hearing preparation period for the impeachment trial of Chief Prosecutor Lee Chang-soo, Deputy Chief Cho Sang-won, and Deputy Chief of the 2nd Anti-Corruption Division Choi Jae-hoon.

The justices said the reason for impeachment was not clear, and whether it was the reason for dismissal could also be a problem, depending on whether the reason for the prosecution was specified.

In response, the National Assembly's representative asked the Constitutional Court to secure the records of the Deutsche Motors case, saying that it is difficult to specify specific actions because it is a work process that was conducted secretly within the prosecution.

However, prosecutor Choi's representative refuted that he was prosecuted with abstract doubts and that it was questionable whether it was right for the strict impeachment case to proceed in this way.

The Constitutional Court held an additional hearing preparation period on the 22nd and decided to continue the trial.
