Reports say Israel's day-to-day airstrikes in Beirut, Lebanon, are aimed at Safiedin, who is said to be Hezbollah's new head.

At the same time, Israel has launched attacks from all directions in Gaza and the West Bank, increasing the possibility of an escalation in the Middle East as well as increasing casualties.

Reporter Hong Joo-ye's report.

Near the Lebanese capital Beirut International Airport, red flames soar into the night sky with a loud explosion.

It's a flashpoint, but the plane enters the airport through black smoke.

Soon, dawn breaks, and the traces of last night's airstrikes are more clearly revealed.

It has been reported that Israel's attack on Beirut every day is aimed at Hashim Safiedin, who is said to be Hezbollah's new head.

Safiedin, who has been a member of Hezbollah since it was founded, is also the cousin of Israeli-killed former head Hasan Nasrallah.

[Hashim Safiedin / Hezbollah Executive Chairman (September, funeral for the dead of the pager explosion): Punishment will be done as God wishes. The Lord of Resistance will speak tomorrow, so I will not speak much.

However, Israeli bombardment is not limited to certain areas, but is widespread throughout Lebanon.

The Financial Times said satellite radar analysis showed that more than 3,000 buildings were broken or damaged across Lebanon in the two weeks after Israel's large-scale airstrikes began.

Civilian damage is also increasing.

The death toll has already reached its worst level in the last 30 years, beyond the 2006 Israel-Hizbullah war, and the number of refugees is estimated to have exceeded 1 million.

[Tewardros Adhanom Ghebreyesus / WHO Director General: Health and humanitarian activists, including WHO staff, have done wonders with limited supplies in very difficult and dangerous situations. But the medical staff continues to be attacked.

In the meantime, Israel has not stopped airstrikes in Gaza and the West Bank.

In particular, the New York Times evaluated that it is very unusual to mobilize fighter jets in attacks on the West Bank, which have mainly used drones.
