Military service youth 'climate companion card discount' extended to 42 years old

Those who have completed their military service will be able to receive discounts for young people with Gifu-companied cards, Seoul's unlimited public transportation ticket, until they are 42 years old, which has been extended by up to three years.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said the revision of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Basic Ordinance on Youth will be applied from January 3 next year as it passes the Seoul Metropolitan Council.

As a result, young people aged 19 to 39 will be able to use a 30-day Gifu companion card for 55,000 won, a 7,000 won discount, and those who have finished their military service will receive discounts of up to 42 years old depending on their service period.

Those who have served for more than two years will be extended to 42, those who have served for more than one year and less than two years will be extended to 41, and those who have served for less than one year will be extended to 40 years old.
