As semiconductor stocks rebounded, the three major indexes of the New York Stock Exchange closed higher.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow hit another high of 4,3077.7, up 0.79% from the previous session.
The S&P 500 rose 0.47% and the Nasdaq rose 0.28%, respectively.
Dutch chipmaker ASML, which plunged 16% the day before, fell more than 6% today, but it led the overall stock market to rise as earnings expectations for Nvidia and other semiconductor-related stocks remained.
