At the official Security Council meeting on the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia, the positions of South Korea and the United States came out?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

U.N. Ambassador Hwang Jun-guk said the North Korean military's deployment to the front line is expected to proceed faster than expected and he is well aware of what will happen to North Korean soldiers at a time when more than 600,000 Russian casualties have occurred.

He also said the North Korean military is feared to become a legitimate military target and become a bulletproof supporter, and that the money they are supposed to receive from Russia will go into Kim Jong-un's pocket.

He then emphasized that the North Korean regime, which uses the North Korean people as consumables, will never be forgiven, saying that he feels compassion for them as a member of the same Korean people.

Ambassador Hwang predicted that North Korean troops would bring about a major change in geopolitics in both east and west Eurasia.

In other words, North Korea will gain experience in modern warfare and seek not only food and fuel but also advanced military technology and supplies in return from Russia.

In addition, the Russian foreign minister recently claimed that the North Korean nuclear issue is an end issue, warning that military cooperation between North Korea and Russia could lead to North Korea's nuclear armament.

Let's listen to Ambassador Hwang.

[Hwang Joon-guk / Ambassador to the United Nations: If Russia's long-held position on denuclearizing North Korea changes, the foundation of the NPT will weaken, and the result will be on everyone.]

Ambassador Hwang stressed that as Russia's current desperate situation is self-inflicted, Russia should immediately stop the war and withdraw its troops, and comply with the minimum international norms as a responsible permanent member of the Security Council.

The U.S. has also raised concerns about the possibility of North Korea transferring military technology from Russia in exchange for the deployment.

Several countries, including Slovenia, have warned that sending North Korean troops could prolong the war in Ukraine, and that the war could escalate into a camp confrontation between the West and authoritarian countries.

In the meantime, North Korea and Russia will express their position that Western arms deliveries to Ukraine and the consequences are adversely affecting the peaceful resolution of the situation.
