"North Korean troops deployed to Kursk are casualties over a week in Russia."

With 8,000 North Korean troops reportedly deployed to Kursk, Russia, this is only the size of Russia's one-week casualties, according to an analysis.

The U.S. think tank and the Institute of War (ISW) made the assessment based on the explanations of U.S. Defense Secretary Austin, and observed that the dispatch of North Korean troops is unlikely to be a long-term solution to Russia's troop recruitment problem.

Earlier, at a joint press conference held after the "6th Korea-U.S. Foreign and Defense Ministers' Meeting," Austin explained that the Ukrainian military is causing more than 1,200 Russian casualties a day, and the War Research Institute estimated Russia's average monthly casualties at around 36,000.

"We don't know exactly how Russia is trying to use North Korean troops, but if the North Korean military is deployed in the highly exhaustive attack operation that Russia has been pursuing, it is very likely that the casualty rate will increase," the Korea War Institute predicted.

It is estimated that North Korea has decided to participate in the war for the experience of modern warfare, but he pointed out, "If the North Korean military has the same level of casualties as the Russian military, Kim Jong-un is unlikely to send his troops indefinitely."
