A day before the U.S. presidential election, former President Donald Trump is narrowly ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in four of the seven competing states, according to a poll.

A poll of seven contending states released by U.S. political media The Hill and Emerson University on the 4th showed that former President Trump led Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia by 1 percentage point and Arizona by 2 percentage points.

Vice President Harris was two percentage points ahead of former President Trump in Michigan alone, while the two candidates were tied in Nevada and Wisconsin.

The Hill, however, explained that the survey was conducted on as few as 790 people and as many as 1,000 people per week, with a statistical margin of error of ±3 to 3.4 percentage points, and that the two candidates were virtually tied in competing states.

Earlier on the 3rd local time, a poll of seven major contending states released by the New York Times and Siena University showed Vice President Harris with four wins, two draws and one loss, contrary to the survey.

A New York Times poll showed Harris ahead of Trump in four locations: Nevada and North Carolina, Wisconsin and Georgia, while Trump led Arizona by 4 percentage points.

In Pennsylvania and Michigan, the two candidates were tied.
