Korean Young Kim Succeeds in 'Three Term' of U.S. Congressman

U.S. Republican U.S. Congresswoman Young Kim, a Korean-American politician, won her third term.

The Associated Press reported at 9:16 p.m. local time on the 7th that while 74% of the votes were counted in California's 40th district, where Kim was running, Kim is certain to win with 56.4% of the vote.

Kim defeated Democratic Party candidate Joker, who received 43.6 percent of the vote.

Representative Kim was first elected in the 39th electoral district in 2020, four years ago, and won again this time after winning re-election in the 40th electoral district, which changed slightly as the electoral district was adjusted in 2022.
