As the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts held its second day of comprehensive policy questions, the ruling and opposition parties engaged in a war of nerves yesterday over the presidential statement and press conference in Yoon Suk Yeol.

The Democratic Party of Korea said, "Wasn't it a press conference to defend First Lady Kim Gun-hee?" and pointed out that it was not a message to the people, but an avatar that was manipulated by First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

In response, the ruling party criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for putting the Republic of Korea in the depths of political strife, saying that the Democratic Party is agitating recklessly, such as "You informed me of your crimes."

The opposition also argued that the government was engulfed in a fraught fiscal health, turning a blind eye to the public livelihood crisis for vulnerable people and small business owners, and that tax cuts caused massive tax losses.

The ruling party received excessive debt bills from the previous government, but countered that the government was making meaningful progress by easily overcoming the unprecedented internal and external complex crisis and registering comparative advantage growth over other advanced countries.
