As former U.S. President Donald Trump wins the presidential election, the direction of the Gaza war, the core of the Middle East situation, is expected to change significantly.

As we have guaranteed a quick resolution, it seems that we will focus on ending the war for now, so what will happen to Gaza's fate?

Reporter Kwon Young-hee reports.

On the day former President Trump was elected president, Israel bombed various parts of Lebanon.

Dozens of people were killed, and missiles fell near the ancient Roman ruins.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu called Trump's recapture of the White House "the greatest comeback in history."

The two talked on the phone and decided to cooperate for Israeli security.

[Danny Danone / Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations] We have an important task. The enemy of the United States is the enemy of Israel and we will continue to work together.]

Resolving the situation in the Middle East is one of the top priorities of the 'second Trump'.

Trump's conception of the Gaza war has never been made clear.

He has repeatedly stated the principle of supporting Israel's right to self-defense.

[Donald Trump/President-elect of the United States] I will support Israel's right to win the war on terror. And Israel needs to win quickly. No matter what happens, you must win.]

Trump unilaterally supported Israel when he was president.

However, there are many analyses that they do not want war.

It was recently reported that he ordered Netanyahu to "end the war before the inauguration of the next U.S. president" in July.

Because of this, it is expected to give Israel an opportunity to fully apply military solutions in the remaining two months before taking office on January 20 next year.

The future of Gaza, which is already a living hell, is even darker.

[Muhammad Mikdad / Gaza resident] This election has no effect on the Palestinians. Rather, it will increase the suffering of the Palestinians, increase the scale of the siege, and only expand support for Israel.]

{Trump 2nd' is expected to actively promote diplomatic relations between Israel and major Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia.

Many believe that this will weaken Iran's influence and create a new Israeli-centered Middle East order.
