Ukraine's Foreign Ministry countered that the Washington Post report that the Ukrainian government was informed in advance of the call between U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin was not true.
"Reports that the Ukrainian side has been informed of the call in advance are false," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhi Tikhi told Reuters on the 10th local time.
"As a result, Ukraine could not even support or oppose the currency," it added.
The Washington Post reported that Trump and Putin spoke on the phone on the 7th, saying that the Ukrainian government was notified in advance.
