Taiwan Representative in Japan "Close U.S.-Taiwan Relations in New Trump Administration"

Regarding U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's Taiwan policy, Taiwan Representative Lee Yi-yang predicted that the U.S. policy on Taiwan will not change much and that the relationship between the two countries will continue closely in the future.

Li, who took office in September as the representative of Taipei's economic and cultural representative office, said in an interview with the Sankei Shimbun.

Lee said the best way to protect peace, stability and the interests of the international community is to work together with Taiwan, Japan, the United States and Europe to protect democracy.

Taiwan, along with the U.S. and Japan, emphasized that it is determined to protect peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
