Amid heightened tensions over Western support for Ukraine and Russia's threat of nuclear use, Pope Francis pointed to the war in Ukraine as a shameful disaster for humanity.
Yesterday was a tragic day on the 1,000th day of the war in Ukraine, the Pope said in Al-Hyeon, weekly (20th).
He then expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and stressed the need to continue to pursue peace and resolve it through dialogue instead of weapons.
