All three major indexes closed higher for the first time in more than a week as the New York stock market relaxed over artificial intelligence leader Nvidia's earnings and noted improvements in the labor and housing markets.
The fact that the price of Bitcoin, a representative cryptocurrency, exceeded $98,000 per unit for the first time in history also had a positive impact on the market, but the worsening Russia-Ukraine situation did not have a significant impact.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones 30 Industrial Average closed at 43,870.35, up 461.88 points and 1.06% from the previous session.
The benchmark Standard & Poor's 500 index of large stocks rose 31.60 points and 0.53% to 5,948.71 from the previous session, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index rose 6.28 points and 0.03% from the previous session to 18,972.42.
The Russell 2000 index, which consists of small and medium-sized stocks, also jumped 1.65%, and the Dow jumped the most since the 6th, with 25 of the 30 constituents strong.
