Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, pointed out that it is not desirable to criticize the entire judiciary, although he can criticize the ruling, saying that the independence of the judiciary should be thoroughly guaranteed.

In an expanded executive meeting, Lee said, "I believe in the judiciary of the Republic of Korea, which has always found its way even if it goes wrong and has protected democracy and human rights in accordance with the Constitution."

He then stressed that last year, the prosecution demanded an arrest warrant absurdly, and the Democratic Party itself also passed an arrest motion due to the collapse of the battle line, but it was also the judiciary that gave it its place through the rejection of the arrest warrant.

He added that even at this moment, I would like to express my gratitude and respect to the majority of judges and the judiciary who do their best as the last bastion of human rights and democracy.

Spokesman Kim Sung-hoe told reporters that Lee asked lawmakers and party officials to be extra careful not to say harsh words and actions at a closed Supreme Council meeting.
