Russia "Ukraine Nuclear Weapons Deployment Is Insane"

Moscow says some think the West should provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons is "insane" and preventing such a scenario is one of the reasons Moscow entered Ukraine.

"Frankly, there is no doubt that the collective West can provide Ukraine with an opportunity to acquire nuclear weapons," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said on the 27th local time.

Zakharova said she believed it was in the interests of responsible countries to prevent such a scenario from unfolding, and warned that irresponsible actions by Ukraine and Western countries could put the world on the brink of disaster.
