During the Thanksgiving Day celebration march in New York, all police were arrested after protesters called for an end to the Palestinian Gaza war took over the road.

Around 9:30 a.m. local time on the 28th, about 20 protesters broke through a police stop near 55th Street in Manhattan and entered the Thanksgiving march path.

Protesters held banners reading "Don't celebrate mass killings and immediately implement an arms embargo," chanting "Liberate Palestine" and calling for an end to the war in Gaza.

Shortly after the start of the protest, nearby police were dispatched to take protesters away, and the New York Thanksgiving Day march was suspended for five minutes.

This is the second time this year that anti-Gaza war protesters have staged a surprise protest at the New York Thanksgiving celebration march, following last year.

The New York Thanksgiving Day Parade, sponsored by a department store, is considered the biggest and most spectacular of various Thanksgiving celebrations across the United States.

It started 100 years ago in 1924 and celebrated its 98th anniversary this year, and the only time this event has not been held was from 1942 to 1944 during World War II.
