Son Jeong-ui, chairman of Japan's Softbank Group, will announce a plan to invest in the U.S. worth USD 100 billion and KRW 143.6 trillion local time on the 16th, CNBC reported.
CNBC, citing multiple sources, said Son plans to meet with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida to make the announcement.
Son will also make a joint statement with Trump to create 100,000 jobs related to artificial intelligence and infrastructure construction, CNBC added.
