Park Chan-wook, Korea's leading film director, made a poster for classical performances with his photographs.
The National Symphony Orchestra said the poster for the Mahler Symphony No. 1 "The Giant" concert, which will be held on the 7th of next month, is the work of director Park.
Director Park, who also works as a photographer, gladly accepted the poster proposal and chose his black and white photos as posters for the performance.
Director Park said he thought of a scene where "The Giant" struggled to rise up in a large hooded cape, explaining that the clothes look sublime rather than dirty.
Director Park likes to listen to classical music and is called a Mahler music lover, but he also included Mahler's Symphony No. 5 and Movement 4 as background music in his recent work "Decision to Break Up."
