Tottenham files objection to Bentancourt's disciplinary action for 'racist remarks against Son Heung-min'

English professional football Tottenham has challenged the English Football Association, which disciplined Bentancourt for making racist remarks against Son Heung-min.

Tottenham said on the club's website that they had filed an objection to Bentancourt's disciplinary period.

Tottenham explained the background of the objection, saying they accept the justification of the disciplinary action, but think the level of disciplinary action is too high.

Last June, Bentancourt, who appeared on a Uruguayan television program, caused controversy for making racist remarks that Son looked just like his cousin.

Bentancourt apologized to Son Heung-min on his SNS, and Son Heung-min accepted it, but the disciplinary process began as the controversy continued.

Bentancourt started seven of Tottenham's 10 games this season.
