'Yongsang's Korean New Record' Park Hye-jeong Silver at the World Championships

Korean weightlifting star Park Hye-jung won a silver medal at the World Championships, setting a new Korean record for Yongsang.

Park Hye-jung, who competed in the women's most weight class at the 2024 World Championships, ranked second with a total of 295kg, including 124kg in the raise and 171kg in the Yongsang.

Park Hye-jung set a new Korean record at the National Sports Festival last year, surpassing the 170kg of Yongsang set by 1kg, although she failed to win her second consecutive competition behind Chinese newcomer Li Yan, who lifted a total of 324kg with 149kg of increase and 175kg of Yongsang.Son Young-hee, who participated in the same weight class
