While the first snow poured down as an unusual snow bomb for the first time in 117 years, another strong snow was predicted overnight in the metropolitan area and other inland areas.

The heavy snow warning has also been issued continuously.

I'm connecting with the reporter. Reporter Jung Hyeyoon!

Has it never snowed so much in Seoul in November?

[Reporter]
That's right.

It is the first time in 117 years that Seoul has had such a big snow in November so far.

The year when it snowed the most in Seoul in November was 1972, and the official snowfall was 12.4cm.

The official snowfall in Songwol-dong Seoul, which has fallen since last night, is 18cm, the highest level ever.

In addition, Gwanak-gu and Yongin-dong in Seoul, Geumjeong in Gunpo, Gyeonggi-do, and Uiwang-si in Gyeonggi-do have about 30cm of snow.

Due to this, heavy snow warnings are being issued in all areas of Seoul, southeastern Gyeonggi Province, Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Jincheon.

The area is expected to have more than 20cm of snowfall in 24 hours, and it is necessary to continue to be vigilant about heavy snow until tomorrow.

In addition, strong wind warnings are continuing in Chungcheong, Honam, Yeongnam's east coast, and Jeju Island, and wind and waves special warnings are continuing at sea.

There will be high waves of up to 5m or more at sea, centering on the special report area, and strong winds of around 20m per second will blow on the coast and inland.

Please pay attention to safety accidents not only at sea, but also on the coast and inland.

How much more snow does it fall overnight?

[Reporter]
Gyeonggi Province is expected to receive up to 25cm more of heavy snow overnight.

Seoul could also receive up to 10cm of more snow, which is feared to cause heavy snow damage.

In addition, up to 20cm more snow is expected in Gangwon-do, 15cm in Chungcheong-do, and 10cm more in Honam.

In particular, the temperature is expected to drop further due to the strong cold southward overnight, raising concerns about icy roads everywhere.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said the temperature in the morning in Seoul will peak at -1.3 degrees Celsius today, -2 degrees Celsius tomorrow, and -4 degrees Celsius the day after tomorrow.

In addition, this snow is a "wet snow" full of moisture and a large amount is concentrated, increasing damage to facilities everywhere.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said that as more snow is concentrated overnight, the damage caused by wet snow could increase, and urged people to remove snow accumulated in greenhouses or weak buildings.

The snow will gradually weaken inland from tomorrow afternoon, but the west coast regions such as Chungcheong and Honam, which are affected by the terrain, are expected to continue until the day after tomorrow.
